Our mission is to connect the strong intellectual capital of New York's top graduate research institutions with the growing life sciences community in the tri-state area. In support of this mission, we host conferences, panel discussions, workshops, and networking events to connect scientific leaders in industry with the innovators of tomorrow in academia.
Showcasing the breadth, depth, and diversity of career opportunities
A career in the life sciences is increasingly a career outside of academia and, in many cases, even a career away from the bench. A core part of our mission is to showcase the wide variety of careers available to life science graduates and help connect students with those careers through info sessions, networking events, and job postings.
Creating opportunities for professional development and experiential learning
In addition to showcasing specific careers and industries, GRO-Biotech also organizes numerous workshops and initiatives for professional development through hands-on learning. Our goal is to help students prepare for industry careers from the very start of their academic training.
